Reid Duke made history Monday when he became the first player signed by the Vegas Golden Knights. But who is he?

Here are some facts about Duke:

* He was born in Calgary on Jan. 1, 1996.

* He has 67 points (35 goals, 32 assists) in 54 games with Brandon of the Western Hockey League this season.

* Duke, 21, was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the sixth round (No. 169) of the 2014 NHL Draft. He never signed with them and became an unrestricted free agent.

* He has an older brother, Kelly, 23, who never was drafted into the NHL. He last played with the High River Flyers of Heritage Junior Hockey League in 2011-12.

* In 2010-11, he had 64 points (28 goals, 36 assists) in 30 games for the Calgary Royals Bantam AAA team in the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League.

* Duke started his junior career with Lethbridge, which selected him with the fifth pick of the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. He was traded to Brandon on Sept. 30, 2014.

* He moved ahead of Reid Duke, an "American Magic: The Gathering" player, on Google search on Monday.

* He joins Greg Gardner and Steve Aronson as the latest entries on the list of first players in franchise history. On May 4, 2000, the Columbus Blue Jackets made Gardner, a goalie from Niagara University, their first player. On the same day, the Wild signed Aronson, a forward from the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Gardner and Aronson each played in the American Hockey League, but neither made it to the NHL.
