Vause scores two goals, including OT winner, as Swift Current defeats Moose Jaw 3-2 @NHLdotcom

MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Broncos forward Taylor Vause scored two goals, including the winner 2:30 into overtime, as the Swift Current Broncos defeated the Moose Jaw Warriors 3-2 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League action.

Vause headed to the front of the net and tipped in a point shot from defenceman Travis Bobbee for the game winner.

Warriors goaltender Jeff Bosch stopped 41 shots.

Jason Bast scored his 24th goal of the season for the Warriors in the first to open the game, and Quinton Howden potted a highlight reel goal shortly after.

Swift Current's Mark Friesen got his 14th win of the season, stopping 25 of 27 shots.

Cody Eakin scored his 35th of the season for the Broncos in the second period to tie the game and is now in a three way tie for the WHL lead in goals. Regina Pats sniper Jordan Eberle and Chilliwack Bruins winger Ryan Howse also have 35 markers on the season.

The Warriors (25-17-6) face the Eastern Conference's best team Wednesday, the Saskatoon Blades. Swift Current (25-23-3) play the same Blades team Friday.

The Warriors finished with 44 shots to the Warriors 27.
