Varone scores overtime winner to lead London past Owen Sound 5-4 @NHL

OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Phil Varone scored 17 seconds into overtime as the London Knights earned a 5-4 victory over the Owen Sound Attack on Wednesday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Justin Taylor led the way with a pair of goals for the Knights (12-5-0-1), while Scott Aarssen and Garett Hunter added singles.

Josh Moes scored twice for the Attack (6-7-3-1), who are winless in three. Lane MacDermid and Mike Lomas also had goals for Owen Sound, while Michael D'Orazio added three assists.

Michael Zador's 29-save performance preserved the win for the Knights.

Scott Stajcer stopped 31 shots in defeat for the Attack.
