Vancouver Canucks send Steve Reinprecht to AHL's Chicago Wolves @NHLdotcom

VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Canucks assigned centre Steven Reinprecht to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League on Monday.

The Canucks acquired Reinprecht, sniper David Booth and a third-round pick from Florida on Saturday for Marco Sturm and Mikael Samuelsson.

Reinprecht, 35, appeared in five games for the AHL's San Antonio Rampage this season, but has yet to register a point.

He split the 2010-11 season between Florida, collecting 10 points (four goals, six assists) in 29 games, and the Mannheim Eagles of the German league, where he recorded 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 18 games.

Reinprecht has 140 goals and 242 assists in 663 career NHL games with Los Angeles, Colorado, Calgary, Phoenix and Florida.

He has 10 goals and 10 assists in 50 playoff games.
