Defenseman Jalen Chatfield had a goal and two assists to help the Vancouver Canucks to a 5-3 win against the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Jake Virtanen had a goal and an assist, and Anton Rodin, Brock Boeser and Nikolay Goldobin scored for Vancouver, which trailed 3-1 after the first period. Thatcher Demko made 23 saves.

Tanner Glass, Ryan Lomberg and Mark Jankowski scored in the first period for Calgary. Dillon Dube had two assists.

Virtanen's power-play goal gave the Canucks a 4-3 lead with 2:53 left in the second period. Chatfield made it 5-3 with 6:06 remaining.

Flames goalie Jon Gillies made 19 saves through the second period. Tyler Parsons made six saves on seven shots in the third.
