The Game

Calgary Flames forward Jaromir Jagr will play against the Vancouver Canucks after missing six games with a lower-body injury.

Jagr, who has two assists in five games since signing a one-year contract with Calgary on Oct. 4, is fourth all-time in NHL games played with 1,716 and needs to play 51 more to tie Gordie Howe's record of 1,767.

The Flames are seeking their fourth consecutive win, all on home ice after starting 1-4-0 at Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Canucks are 1-2-1 after winning four straight games. Goalie Jacob Markstrom, who made 26 saves in a 3-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings at Rogers Arena on Monday, could make back-to-back starts.

Players to watch

Canucks forward Sven Baertschi, who was selected by the Flames with the No. 13 pick in the 2011 NHL Draft, has eight points (four goals, four assists) in his past seven games.

Flames forward Matthew Tkachuk has nine points (three goals, six assists) in 14 games and leads the League with two game-deciding shootout goals.
