Vancouver Canucks assign forward Mason Raymond to Manitoba Moose

VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Canucks are sending Mason Raymond back to the American Hockey League.

The NHL team assigned the 22-year-old forward to its affiliate in Manitoba on Tuesday. Raymond has played one game for the Moose this season, picking up two assists.

The Calgary native appeared in nine games with the Canucks and had one assist and a minus-2 rating.

Vancouver selected Raymond in the second round of the 2005 NHL entry draft. He joined the Moose late last year after his sophomore college season at Minnesota-Duluth.
