Upshall suspended 2 games for hit on Bartulis @NHL

PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix Coyotes left wing Scottie Upshall has been suspended two games for an illegal hit on Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Oskars Bartulis.

The incident occurred with 17 seconds left in the second period of Phoenix's 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers on Tuesday night. Upshall was assessed a minor penalty for boarding on a blindside on Bartulis, who was injured on the play.

Upshall will miss Phoenix's game Wednesday night at Tampa Bay and Friday at Columbus. He also will forfeit $24,193.54, based on his average annual salary.
