BROSSARD -- The Canadiens held an off-ice workout at the Bell Sports Complex on Wednesday.

TICKETS: Islanders @ Canadiens
Only a handful of players who didn't play against Detroit practiced, including forwards Adam Brooks and Cedric Paquette, defensemen Alexander Romanov and Mattias Norlinder, and goaltender Sam Montembeault.
They skated with assistant coaches Luke Richardson and Trevor Letowski, and goaltending coach Eric Raymond.
Before the session began, defenseman Joel Edmundson skated with assistant athletic therapist Matthew Romano.
Medical update: Drouin
It was scary to see Jonathan Drouin leave Tuesday night's contest after being struck by a puck in the head.
Fortunately, the 26-year-old forward escaped any serious injury, including a concussion.
According to head coach Dominique Ducharme, Drouin is day-to-day and may still play against the New York Islanders on Thursday night at the Bell Centre.
"We're encouraged by the way he feels," said Ducharme.

If Drouin dresses versus the Isles, the Habs' bench boss indicated that he'll remain at center and be flanked by Mike Hoffman and Josh Anderson again.
Coming off a 22-save shutout, Jake Allen will get the start in goal for Montreal.
Ducharme: 'We have a blueprint for this year'
The Canadiens have yet to string consecutive wins together, but Ducharme believes that consistency is coming.
Will they finally accomplish that feat? If they play the style of game that led to a 3-0 victory over Detroit, it's entirely possible.
"We have a blueprint for this year. That was last night," emphasized Ducharme. "What makes me confident is we felt it as a team. We felt how much easier it is for the goalie to be playing in that kind of game, for the defensemen, with and without the puck, and for the forwards. We looked a lot faster last night as a team just because of that. We spent a lot less time in our zone because of that. We gave way less scoring chances. We felt that last night, and we felt what we needed to put in. That's why I'm confident that we're going to gain some stability there and build momentum and become more consistent."

During his media availability, defenseman Jeff Petry emphasized the need to mimic that performance again and again to climb out of the early-season hole the team dug in October.
"Last night was our most complete game within our system, so hopefully that's a good sign," insisted Petry, who assisted on Nick Suzuki's game-winning goal in the first period. "I think everybody felt good about their game, so now it's just about bottling that up, building off of that, and hopefully that was the turning point of finding our complete game as a team."
