United States beats Sweden 6-3 to win bronze at U18 world hockey championship @NHLdotcom

KAZAN, Russia - The United States defeated Sweden 6-3 to win the bronze medal at the under-18 world hockey championship.

The Americans, who won silver last year, have won medals at this tournament for a record five straight years.

Robbie Czarnik and Jeremy Morin scored two goals apiece for the U.S., with Ryan Bourque and Jeremy Morin adding singles.

Henrik Bjorklund, Martin Lundberg and Victor Hedman scored for Sweden, who won the bronze last year.

Canada will play host Russia - the defending champions - for the gold medal later today.

Canada suffered its lone loss to the unbeaten Russians in the preliminary round last week.
