OTTAWA - Tyler Toffoli had three goals and two assists Friday night as the Ottawa 67's won their sixth straight game downing the Oshawa Generals 6-3 in the Ontario Hockey League.
Toffoli scored the final three 67's goals, including one in the third period, in guiding the 67's (11-10-5) above the .500 mark for the first time this season.
Toffoli also assisted on Tyler Cuma's first-period marker that opened the scoring, and second-period goal from Cody Ceci that gave the 67's a 3-2 lead. The only goal he had no part in was Jon Carnevale's unassisted marker early in the second period that tied the game 2-2.
Chris Perugini was as much a hero as Toffoli as he made 45 saves in the 67's goals.
Thomas Christian scored twice for the Generals (8-14-3) while Conor Stokes had the other goal.
