SAGINAW, Mich. - Tyler Seguin scored a power-play goal at 3:57 of overtime to give the Plymouth Whalers a 4-3 win over the Saginaw Spirit in Ontario Hockey League action Wednesday.
The Whalers, who posted their fifth straight win over their state rivals, overcame a 3-1 deficit on goals from Ryan Hayes and Chris Terry to set up the winner from Seguin. Terry scored twice for Plymouth (26-22-5-0), while Matt Hackett had 24 saves.
Jack Combs had a goal and two assists and Chris Chappell had a goal and an assist for Saginaw (30-18-0-4).
Nick Crawford rounded out the scoring for the Spirit. Edward Pasquale made 31 saves.
The two teams combined for five power play goals, three for the Whalers and two for the Spirit.
