MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - The Medicine Hat Tigers got production from all four lines and solid goaltending from 17-year-old Tyler Bunz to beat the Tri-City Americans 6-1 in Western Hockey League action Wednesday.
Bunz made 26 saves and the Tigers scored six unanswered goals in a romp over the Western Conference leaders, who began a road trip with their first loss in five games.
Tigers defenceman Jace Coyle had a goal and an assist while other goals came from Zdenek Okal, Linden Vey, Tristan King, Bretton Cameron and Matt MacKay.
Brooks Macek had the lone goal for the Americans (15-4-0).
Tri-City pulled starter Drew Owsley with seven minutes to go for a 6-on-4 power play but it backfired with Cameron scoring into an empty net.
