Ty Dellandrea signed a one-year, $900,000 contract with the Dallas Stars on Thursday.

The 22-year-old forward, who was a restricted free agent, had 28 points (nine goals, 19 assists) in 82 regular-season games for the Stars last season and three goals in 15 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Selected by Dallas in the first round (No. 13) of the 2018 NHL Draft, Dellandrea has 33 points (12 goals, 21 assists) in 109 regular-season games and three goals in 16 playoff games.

"Ty's become one of our most dependable two-way forwards," Stars general manager Jim Nill said. "His versatility allows him to play up and down the lineup, and he proved in the playoffs his ability to take his game to another level. He's a heart-and-soul type of player, and we're happy to have him under contract for the upcoming season."

Dallas (47-21-14) finished second in the Central Division last season and lost to the Vegas Golden Knights in six games in the Western Conference Final.

The Stars signed forwards Craig Smith, Matt Duchene and Sam Steel each to a one-year contract July 1.
