Tvrdon scores twice as Giants defeat Blazers 3-2 @NHLdotcom

KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Marek Tvrdon scored twice as the Vancouver Giants defeated the host Kamloops Blazers 3-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Nathan Burns also scored for the Giants (38-26-5), who sit fourth in the Western Conference.

JC Lipon and Brandon Herrod each scored for the Blazers (46-18-5), who fell to second in the West after combining their loss with a Portland Winterhawks victory.

Adam Morrison made 26 saves for the win while Cole Cheveldave turned away 22 shots in a losing effort.

Vancouver went 1 for 2 on the power play as Kamloops failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
