Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask earns 32nd shutout

RASK BLANKS SABRES TO CLIMB BRUINS ALL-TIME LIST

Tuukka Rask turned aside all 32 shots he faced to improve to 7-1-0 this season (1.74 goals-against average, .941 SV%, 2 SO) and help the Boston Bruins to a 4-0 win against the Buffalo Sabres, their fourth victory in their past five games.

* Rask earned the 32nd shutout of his NHL career to pass Tim Thomas (31) for sole possession of third on the Bruins all-time list:

SMITH SCORES LATE GOAL TO POWER PANTHERS PAST LIGHTNING

Reilly Smith stole the puck from Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman and scored the game-winning goal with 4:28 left in the third period to help the Florida Panthers to a 3-1 win and improve to 5-2-0 at BB&T Center this season.

* Playing against his former team, Jonathan Marchessault opened the scoring with his seventh goal of the season (13 GP) to match his total from 2015-16 (45 GP w/ TBL).

* Roberto Luongo (34 saves) earned the 440th win of his NHL career, seven shy of Terry Sawchuk (447) for fifth place all-time.
