Turple makes 43 saves as Real McCoys beat Thunder in Allan Cup action @NHLdotcom

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. - Dan Turple made 43 saves as the Dundas Real McCoys beat the South East Prairie Thunder 3-1 Tuesday at the Allan Cup senior hockey championship.

Mike Kennedy, Ryan Healy and Rob DeCiantis scored for Dundas (1-0-0), who won despite being outshot 44-29.

Tim Krymusa replied for the Thunder, who got 26 saves from Justin Harrris.

In the late game, the host Fort St. John Flyers beat the Clarenville Caribous 6-3.

The Thunder finished the round-robin with a 1-1-0 record and are currently second in the Division One standings. They will find out their seed for the playoffs after the Dundas versus Powell River Regals game on Wednesday.

In Tuesday's late game, Chris Stevens had a pair of goals for Fort St. John, which came back from a 3-2 deficit with four third-period goals.

Ryan Carter, Donny Lloyd, Adam Horst and Tyler Brough also scored for the Flyers.

Brad Crann, Ryan Lauzon and Nathan Saunders replied for the Caribous.

Troy Hunt made 26 saves for Fort St. John while Jason Churchill stopped 31 shots for Clarenville.

The Flyers ended the round-robin at 2-0-0. They finished first in the Division Two standings and earned a direct berth in Friday's semifinals.

Clarenville (0-1-0) will know its playoff seeding after Wednesday's match against the Bentley Generals.
