Jordan Eberle's torrid scoring has the Regina Pats on a four-game winning streak.
Eberle had three assists Tuesday to lead the Regina Pats to a 4-2 victory over the Prince George Cougars in Western Hockey League action. Since being returned to Regina from the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, Eberle has hit the scoresheet in 13 of 15 games for a total of 33 points (15 goals, 18 assits). Prince George (3-14-2) is headed in the opposite direction, suffering its sixth straight loss.
Elsewhere in the WHL it was: Lethbridge 3 Calgary 2; Red Deer 7 Kamloops 4; and Everett 5 Spokane 2.
At Regina, the Pats (10-9-2) scored twice in the first period, with Eberle assisting on goals by Brett Leffler and Matt Strueby.
The teams swapped power-play goals in the second.
Dallas Jackson got Prince George on the board with a big blast from the point for his fourth of the year.
Jordan Weal replied when he slid a shot through a screen for his 10th of the season. Eberle picked up his third of the night on the goal.
Prince George made things interesting early in the third when Tyler Halliday beat Regina goalie Damien Ketlo with a soft backhand from the slot to make it 3-2.
Cougar goalie Hudson Stremmel, a native of Reno, Nev., stood tall for his team as Prince George was outshot 44-24.
But Regina forward Garrett Mitchell ended the threat 7:43 into the third when he drew a penalty then scored on the power play to make it 4-2 and put the game out reach.
