Marc-Olivier Vachon scored twice for Drummondville as the Voltigeurs beat the Shawinigan Cataractes 4-1 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Tuesday.
Ondrej Palat and Philippe Lefebvre also scored for Drummondville (37-15-2), while Marc-Antoine Desnoyers and Olivier Hotte each added a pair of assists.
Dave Labrecque had the only goal for Shawinigan (28-21-7).
Jake Allen made 26 saves to pick up the win for the Voltiguers.
Marc-Antoine Gelinas stopped 29 in defeat.
Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: Quebec 3 Chicoutimi 1; and Montreal 3 Val-d'Or 2.
At Shawinigan, Que., Vachon gave the Voltigueurs a 1-0 lead at 5:22 of the first.
Labrecque tied things on the power play 4:36 into the second period, but Vachon's second goal of the night, also with the man advantage, just under five minutes later restored the Drummondville lead.
Palat stretched the lead to two goals with under four minutes to go in the second and Lefebvre made 4-1 midway through the third.
Both clubs finished the night 1-for-4 on the power play.
Remparts 3 Sagueneens 1
At Quebec City, Olivier Hinse, Danick Paquette and Ryan Bourque scored as the Remparts topped Chicoutimi.
Patrick Dore added two assists for Quebec (34-15-7).
Christophe Tremblay had the only goal for the Sagueneens (21-25-8).
Junior 3 Foreurs 2
At Val-d'Or, Que., Jeremy Gouchie had the game-winner in the third as Montreal squeezed past the Foreurs.
David Rose and Trevor Parkes also scored for the Junior (25-23-5).
Jonathan Hazen and Olivier Dallaire had the goals for Val-d'Or (19-30-6).
