Jordan Caron had a five-point night for Rouyn-Noranda as the Huskies ended Moncton's 12-game winning streak with a 7-3 win over the Wildcats in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Tuesday.
Caron had two goals and three assists for the Huskies (31-19-4), while Sergey Ostapchuk, Jerome Gauthier-Leduc, Jerome Raymond, Dmitry Kostromitin and Jeff Desjardins, into an empty net, also scored.
Philippe Cornet added three assists, while Nicolas Deslauriers and Gabriel Levesque chipped in with two each.
David Savard scored twice for Moncton (35-12-4). Scott Trask had the other Wildcats goal.
Mark Barberio and Allain Saulnier each added two assists.
In the only other game in the QMJHL, Shawinigan thumped Lewiston 6-1.
At Moncton, N.B., Trask got the Wildcats on the board just under three minutes in, but the Huskies led 3-1 after the first and 5-1 after the second.
Savard scored twice midway through the third, but Caron's second of the night at 12:16 gave Rouyn-Noranda a 6-4 lead.
Desjardins added the empty-netter at 19:06.
Nicholas Champion made 28 saves for the Huskies, while Nicola Riopel stopped 22 shots for the Wildcats.

At Shawinigan, Que., Michael Bournival had a goal and two assists as the Cataractes downed Lewiston.
Philippe Paradis, Charles-Olivier Roussel, Dave Labrecque, Maximilien Le Sieur and Antoine Houde-Caron also scored for Shawinigan (26-20-7).
Pierre-Olivier Morin had the only goal for Lewiston (18-31-3).
