Tuesday's QMJHL roundup @NHLdotcom

Alexandre Quesnel had a goal and two assists and the Gatineau Olympiques closed in on the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's West Division title with a 3-1 win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies on Tuesday.

The win allowed the Olympiques to maintain a six-point division lead over the Montreal Junior, who were 4-2 winners over Chicoutimi on Tuesday. Both teams have five regular-season games remaining.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL, P.E.I. beat Acadie-Bathurst 7-5.

At Rouyn-Noranda, Que., Alain Goulet and Paul Byron also scored for Gatineau (35-23-2-3).

Benoit Gervais replied for the Huskies (28-28-5-3).

Marc-Antoine Gelinas made 27 saves for the Olympiques while Antoine Lafleur stopped 25 shots for the Huskies.

Junior 4 Sagueneens 2

At Montreal, Pat O'Keefe had three assists as the Junior beat Chicoutimi.

Guillaume Asselin, Pier-Antoine Dion, Matthew Brenton and Louis-Marc Aubry scored for Montreal (33-27-1-2).

Mathieu Tousignant and Jacob Lagace each had a goal and an assist for Chicoutimi (22-31-4-7).


Rocket 7 Titan 5

At Charlottetown, Chris Doyle and Jarrad Struthers each had a goal and two assists as P.E.I. beat Acadie-Bathurst.

Simon Olsson, whit two goals, Ben Duffy, Maxime Levesque and Joel Champagne also scored for the Rocket (24-30-4-5).

Jonathan Lessard had two goals and two assists while Cameron Critchlow, Jeremie Malouin and Artem Demkov also scored for the Titan (20-31-7-6).
