Tucker's 19-save performance leads Vancouver past Portland 5-0

PORTLAND, Ore. - Goaltender Jamie Tucker made 19 saves to lead the Vancouver Giants to a 5-0 win over the Portland Winter Hawks in Western Hockey League play on Saturday night.

Adam Basford scored his first goal of the year at 5:23 of the first period, and it stood as the game winner. Mike Piluso added a pair of goals for Vancouver (3-1-0-1) while Brendan Gallagher and Lance Bouma added singles.

Jordan White turned aside 30 shots in defeat for the Winter Hawks (1-3-0-0).
