Tristan King scores shootout winner as Tigers defeat Oil Kings 4-3 @NHL

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Tristan King scored the shootout winner to lead the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 4-3 victory over the visiting Edmonton Oil Kings in Western Hockey League action Wednesday.

Oil Kings left-winger Brett Breitkreuz sent the game to overtime, backhanding a loose puck by Medicine Hat goaltender Ryan Holfeld to tie the score 3-3 with 19.7 seconds to play in regulation.

Bretton Cameron, Sean Ringrose and Tyler Ennis also scored for the Tigers. Brandon Lockerby and Jeff Lee had the other two Edmonton goals.

Holfeld made 24 saves in goal for the Tigers in regulation and overtime to earn the win. Torrie Jung turned away 30 shots in suffering the loss for the Oil Kings.

Medicine Hat improved to 11-7-2-2 with the win, while Edmonton fell to 9-12-1-2. The Tigers have defeated the Oil Kings in all 11 meetings between the two clubs since the Edmonton franchise began play in September 2007.
