TORONTO - Ty Rimmer of the Tri-City Americans was named the Canadian Hockey League's goaltender of the week Tuesday.
Rimmer posted two shutouts through two games to win the award.
The 19-year-old made 42 saves in a 5-0 victory over Moose Jay on Wednesday, and 22 saves in a 4-0 victory against Everett on Saturday.
Moncton's Roman Will and Plymouth's Matt Mahalak were also considered for the award.
Meanwhile, Tyler Toffoli of the Ottawa 67's was named player of the week.
Toffoli scored three goals and had seven assists in three games, along with a plus-8 rating.
Vancouver's Brendan Gallagher and Zach O'Brien of Acadie-Bathurst were also nominated.
