Tri-City forward Mitch Fadden named Canadian Hockey League player of week @NHLdotcom

TORONTO - Forward Mitch Fadden of the Tri-City Americans was named Canadian Hockey League player of the week Tuesday.

Fadden had eight points (two goals, six assists) in three Western Hockey League games last week. Chris Terry of the Ontario Hockey League's Plymouth Whalers and Yannick Riendeau of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Drummondville Voltigeurs were also considered.

Matt Hackett of the Plymouth Whalers was named CHL goaltender of the week.

He posted a 3-0-0-0 record last week with one shutout. Hackett had an OHL-best goals-against average of 0.67 and save percentage of .981.
