Tregunna scores shootout winner as Owen Sound gets past Guelph 3-2 @NHLdotcom

OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Scott Tregunna's goal in the fifth round of the shootout propelled the Owen Sound Attack to a 3-2 win over the Guelph Storm in OHL action Wednesday night.

With the teams tied 2-2 through four rounds, Owen Sound netminder Tyler Beskorowany stopped Guelph winger Tyler Melancon, setting the stage for Tregunna's heroics.

Brennan Wright and Matt Carter scored in regulation for the Attack (10-16-1-0), who have won two of three meetings against Guelph (8-13-4-1) this season.

Peter Holland and Rafael Rotter replied for the Storm, who host the second game in the back-to-back series Friday.

Beskorowany made 40 saves in regulation and overtime to lead Owen Sound.

Thomas McCollum stopped 36 shots in defeat.
