Travis Yonkman stops 35 shots as Broncos defeat Wheat Kings 4-2 @NHLdotcom

BRANDON, Man. - Travis Yonkman stopped 35 shots to backstop the Swift Current Broncos to a 4-2 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings in the Western Hockey League on Wednesday night.

Keegan Dansereau, Geordie Wudrick, Taylor Vause and Michael Stickland all scored for the Broncos, who improved to 40-28-1-1, guaranteeing them fourth place in the Eastern Conference and home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Cale Jefferies and Matt Calvert replied for the Wheat Kings, who fell to 46-19-3-2 and remained three points behind the East Division-leading Saskatoon Blades, with two games remaining.

Andrew Hayes made 20 saves for the Wheat Kings, who were 7-0 against the Broncos heading into Wednesday's game.
