Travis Ehrhardt and Matt Schmermund lead Portland past Chilliwack @NHLdotcom

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland scored on their first power play to have the ice littered with 20,372 teddy bears leading them to a 4-3 victory over the Chilliwack Bruins (13-12-3) in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.

Portland used two power plays and a short handed goal to take a 4-0 lead going into the third period.

Travis Ehrhardt and Matt Schmermund both had a goal and an assist to lead Portland Winterhawks (5-19-0-0). Portland also got goals from Luke Walker and Tyler Swystun, while having ten players registering at least a point on the score sheet.

Mark Santorelli, Oscar Moller, and Brandon Campos had the goals for Chilliwack (13-12-3-0).

Bruin goalie Matt Esposito made 26 saves for the loss, while Kurtis Mucha stopped 65 shots.
