Torquato scores twice, adds shootout marker as Erie upsets the Spitfires 5-4 @NHLdotcom

ERIE, Pa. - Zack Torquato and Ryan O'Reilly scored in the shootout and goaltender Jaroslav Janus stopped three of four attempts by the Windsor Spitfires to lead the Erie Otters to a 5-4 upset victory on Friday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Torquato had two goals and an assist in regulation as the Otters (14-13-2-0) beat Windsor in Erie for the second time this season.

Torquato's first-round shootout marker was erased in the second round by OHL scoring leader Taylor Hall.

Hall opened the scoring for the Spitfires (25-3-0-1) on a power play midway through the first period.

Lane MacDermid stretched the lead to two in the last minute of the first.

Andrew Yogan and Shawn Szydlowski also scored for the Otters.

Dale Mitchell and Greg Nemisz added goals for Windsor.

Janus made 36 saves, while Spitfires goaltender Andrew Engelage stopped 32 shots.
