Top prospect Eichel on success, Boston College

by Staff

Boston University freshman forward Jack Eichel joined NHL Live for our weekly "Prospects Report."

Expected to be one of the top picks in the 2015 NHL Draft, Eichel leads the Terriers with four goals and nine points in five games. He was named Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Month after his four goals and eight points led the Terriers to their best start in 13 years (4-0-0).

"I think our team has just had a good first handful of games," Eichel said. "That's what's let me have some success. I think my two linemates have had a huge part in that. Our team's just been working really hard and listening to whatever coach [David Quinn] has in store for us."

Eichel and the Terriers play rival Boston College on Friday (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN). The Eagles have won seven of the past nine games between the teams.

"We're really looking forward to our game this weekend against BC. I think we're looking to change our previous luck the past few years and get a couple of points."
