With the NHL pausing the 2019-20 regular season on March 12 due to the concerns surrounding the coronavirus, NHL.com is taking stock of each of the League's 31 teams.

Today, a look at three memorable moments for the New York Islanders at the pause:

Shoot your shot

Shooters shoot, and Anthony Beauvillier took his in December.

The Islanders forward dropped Anna Kendrick a "hi" on Christmas, and the A-list actress responded on Twitter after fans talked him up online.

'Stinky Rangers'

Jameson Maier is wise beyond his years in that he knows what he likes and what he doesn't.

The 3-year-old Islanders fan lit up social media for a video of him identifying NHL logos, including his beloved Islanders and "the stinky Rangers" in January.

'Thor' cannon

Noah Syndergaard traded in his Thor hammer for a T-shirt cannon in October.

The New York Mets pitcher rode the Zamboni and distributed some souvenirs for fans watching the Islanders game against the Philadelphia Flyers at Nassau Coliseum on Oct. 27.
