With the NHL pausing the 2019-20 regular season on March 12 due to the concerns surrounding the coronavirus, is taking stock of each of the League's 31 teams.

Today, a look at three memorable moments for the Detroit Red Wings at the pause:


Back to school

Dylan Larkin was a Child of Yost again March 7.

The Detroit Red Wings forward joined the University of Michigan student section to cheer on the Wolverines during their men's hockey game against rival Michigan State in the Big Ten Tournament at Yost Arena.


From way downtown

Filip Hronek's long-range shot hit nothing but net Dec. 12.

The defenseman scored an empty-net goal from 187 feet, sealing Detroit's 5-2 win against the Winnipeg Jets at Little Caesars Arena.


Yzerman cheers Ovi

Steve Yzerman is cheering Alex Ovechkin's pursuit of history, even at the expense of his own standing.

The Red Wings general manager sent a congratulatory message to the Washington Capitals forward, who passed Yzerman on the NHL all-time goals list Jan. 29.
