Rittich Stick

With the NHL pausing the 2019-20 regular season on March 12 due to the concerns surrounding the coronavirus, NHL.com is taking stock of each of the League's 31 teams.

Today, a look at three memorable moments for the Calgary Flames at the pause:

A walk-off win calls for a bat ... er, stick flip.

After stopping Edmonton Oilers center Leon Draisaitl with a heady poke check, Flames goalie David Rittich launched his stick in the air to celebrate Calgary's emotional 4-3 shootout win against rival Edmonton at Rogers Place on Jan. 29.

Miikka Kiprusoff made a rare public appearance in Calgary and received a hero's welcome Dec. 29.

The Flames celebrated their former goalie with a highlight montage, and fans at Scotiabank Saddledome gave him a standing ovation during a break in the action in Calgary's 5-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks.

Matthew Tkachuk liked scoring between-the-legs goals so much, he did it twice.

The Flames forward scored an unreal goal to defeat the Nashville Predators 6-5 in overtime on Halloween then did it again during a 6-2 win at the San Jose Sharks on Feb. 10.
