Tokarski stops 43 shots as the Bulldogs blank the Crunch 3-0

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Dustin Tokarski stopped all 43 shots he faced as the Hamilton Bulldogs blanked the host Syracuse Crunch 3-0 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.

Nathan Beaulieu and Christian Thomas had a goal and an assist apiece for the Bulldogs (9-7-3), who used their power play to supply all of their offence, and Martin St. Pierre tacked on two assists.

Greg Pateryn added a single goal to round out Hamilton's scoring.

Nikita Nesterov led the Crunch (9-6-2) with seven shots on goal while Cedrick Desjardins turned away 30-of-33 shots in defeat.

Tokarski kept his club in the game early by turning away 15 shots in the first period.

Thomas opened the scoring 1:29 into the second while Syracuse blue liner Matt Taormina was serving a minor for tripping.

Taormina's period got worse as he picked up another minor for delay of game at 5:51, which led to Pateryn making it 2-0 for Hamilton at 7:18.

Beaulieu added another power-play goal for the Bulldogs at 6:47 of the third period.

Hamilton, which has won its last four contests, went 3 for 7 on the power play while Syracuse failed to score on six chances with the man advantage.
