OSHAWA, Ont. - Tyler Toffoli scored with 48 seconds remaining to lift the Ottawa 67's past the Oshawa Generals 2-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday.
Toffoli took advantage of a defensive miscue and scored an unassisted goal, beating Daryl Borden with a slap shot from the high slot.
Robert Kousal gave the Generals the lead with the only goal of the first period, a power-play marker set up by John Tavares and Michael Del Zotto.
Thomas Kiriakou tied the game for Ottawa early in the second period, assisted by Sean Ryan.
Chris Perugini earned the win in goal for the 67's, who outshot the Generals 23-22.
Borden made 21 saves for the Generals.
The Generals were one-for seven with the man advantage, while the 67's failed to score on five chances.
