Tochkin scores twice as Everett Silvertips nip Tri-City Americans 3-2 @NHLdotcom

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kellen Tochkin scored a pair of goals, including the winner, to lead the Everett Silvertips to a 3-2 victory over the Tri-City Americans in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Alex Theriau also scored for Everett (38-19-4), while Thomas Heemskerk finished with 34 saves. The Silvertips moved within five points of Tri-City in the U.S. Division standings.

Brooks Macek and Neal Prokop scored for Tri-City (41-16-3), which trailed 2-0 after the first period. Prokop's goal tied the game 55 seconds into the third period.

Drew Owsley had 24 saves for the Americans, who trail Brandon by three points in the race for the Scotty Munro trophy.
