Tim Raines' election into the Baseball Hall of Fame was a long time coming, and Montreal Canadiens fans gave him an ovation to match.

The former Montreal Expos great was honored at Bell Centre before the
Canadiens' game against the Florida Panthers
on Thursday.

The Toronto Blue Jays and Pittsburgh Pirates are in town to play two exhibition games at Olympic Stadium, so baseball fever is in full effect in Montreal.
Raines was on the Hall of Fame ballot for 10 years before he was elected to the 2017 class along with Jeff Bagwell and Ivan Rodriguez. He spent 13 of his 23 seasons in Major League Baseball with the Expos.
