BATHURST, N.B. - David Gilbert had two goals, including the game-winner, as the Acadie-Bathurst Titan doubled up the Shawinigan Cataractes 6-3 in the lone game in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Thursday.
Bathurst (17-26-5) led 3-1 after two periods, but Shawinigan's Pierre-Alexandre Vandall scored 3:33 into the third and Raphael Pouliot added another while shorthanded 37 seconds later to tie the game 3-3.
After Gilbert gave the Titan the lead at 12:55, Taylor Lambke made it 5-3 at 15:01. Eric Faille added an empty-netter with 16 seconds left in the third.
Shawinigan (22-20-7) took a 1-0 lead after the first, thanks to a goal from Yannick Veilleux just over three minutes in.
But special teams gave Bathurst the lead before the second period was 10 minutes old. Ryan McKiernan, who finished the night with two assists, tied it 4:31 on the power play before David Gilbert gave the Titan a two-goal lead on another man advantage at 9:10.
Jonathan Lessard made it 3-1 for Bathurst with a short-handed goal at 15:03.
Francois Lacerte made 23 saves to pick up the win, while Gabrield Girard made 25 in taking the loss.
