Taylor Hall scored his 31st and 32nd goals of the season and added two assists as the Windsor Spitfires beat the Guelph Storm 5-1 in Ontario Hockey League play Thursday.
Hall improved his OHL point total to 76 points. Only Plymputh's Tyler Seguin, with 81 points, has more.
Philipp Grubauer made 24 saves to pick up the win for Windsor (38-7-5), while Brandon Foote made 33 stops at the other end for Guelph (20-24-3).
Elsewhere in the OHL it was: Belleville 3 Peterborough 1; Oshawa 2 Sault Ste. Marie 1 (SO); Barrie 4 Sudbury 1; Brampton 1 Saginaw 0; and Niagara 5 Erie 3.
At Windsor, Ont., Cam Fowler and James Woodcroft, with his first of the season, scored just over two minutes apart in the first to give the Spitfires a 2-0 lead.
Michael Latta cut the lead in half for the Storm with his 20th of the season with just 12 seconds left in the period.
Eric Wellwood scored his 26th goal of the season in the third period to seal the game for Windsor.
Spitfire centre Stephen Johnson made his debut after being acquired earlier in the month along with Grubauer and Marc Cantin.
Johnson, who was sidelined with a wrist injury, played on a line with Derek Lanoue and Adam Wallace. He picked up an assist on Hall's empty-netter.
