The NHL rested on Sunday after a hockey-crazed Saturday night, but returns to action with a three-game schedule on Monday.
At 7 p.m. ET, the New York Rangers
look to make it eight in a row as they host the San Jose Sharks
at Madison Square Garden. The Blueshirts (7-1-0) won their seventh straight on Saturday in a 4-1 win against the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs
. Rookie defenseman Michael Del Zotto

San Jose, meanwhile, got back on track with a 4-1 win against the New York Islanders
on Saturday. The victory helped the Sharks (4-3-1) pull within a point of the Pacific Division lead. Monday's game can be seen on Versus in the U.S. and on TSN2 in Canada.
The Dallas Stars
(3-1-3) aim for their second straight win as they host the Los Angeles Kings
at 8:30 p.m. ET. Dallas is coming off an impressive 4-3 victory at Chicago, while the Kings have lost three in a row after winning four of their first five.
In the final game of the night, the Vancouver Canucks
face the Edmonton Oilers
at Rexall Place in a Northwest Division showdown. Mikael Samuelsson
broke a 1-1 tie early in the third period to lift the Canucks to a 2-1 win against Minnesota at GM Place on Saturday. Twenty-four hours earlier, the Oilers cruised past the Wild 5-2 in Edmonton. Dustin Penner
