Thrashers agree to terms with forward Slater @NHLdotcom
The Atlanta Thrashers have agreed to terms with forward Jim Slater, according to general manager Rick Dudley.

Slater, 27, posted 11 goals and 7 assists in 61 games last season. The 6-0, 200-pound center set a new career-high in goals and tied his career-high with two game-winning goals. Slater was also awarded with the 2010 Dan Snyder Memorial Trophy and was a co-winner of the 2010 Gilner-Reeves Community Service Award.

The Lapeer, Mich., native has scored 88 points (42 goals, 46 assists) in 335 career NHL games with Atlanta. He was selected in the first round, No. 30, of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
