Thompson scores twice as Sault Ste. Marie out-paces Niagara 6-3 @NHLdotcom

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Brett Thompson had back-to-back goals as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds doubled the Niagara IceDogs 6-3 in Ontario Hockey League play Saturday night.

Jordan Nolan had a goal and four assists for Sault Ste. Marie (30-23-5), while Jacon Muzzin, Jake Carrick and Nick Cousins also found the back of the net. Robin Lehner made 30 saves for the Greyhounds.

Dylan MacEachern opened scoring for Niagara (21-31-7), while Matt Petgrave and Johnson Andrews also tallied. Mark Visentin stopped 10 of 14 shots in the first period before being replaced by John Chartrand who made 13 saves.
