Thompson scores a goal and assist, in his debut, lifting Sarnia over Windsor 4-1

SARNIA, Ont. - Brett Thompson had a goal and an assist in his debut, as the Sarnia Sting beat the Windsor Spitfires 6-2 in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.

Newly acquired defenceman Craig Duininck also added a goal and an assist for Sarnia (12-2-3), while Taylor Carnevale, Alex Basso, Craig Hottot and Charlie Sarault rounded out the scoring.

Saverio Posa and Alexander Khoklachev got goals for the Spitfires (8-10-2), who have now lost 8 consecutive games.

Brandon Hope got the win in net for the Sting, stopping 20 shots, while former Sting netminder John Cullen took the loss making 35 saves.
