Thompson and Boucher each score two goals as the Sting beat the Attack 5-3

SARNIA, Ont. - Brett Thompson and Reid Boucher had two goals and and assist each to help the Sarnia Sting to a 5-3 win over the visiting Owen Sound Attack Friday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Nail Yakupov picked up his 20th goal of the season to go along with an assist for the Sting (19-9-5) while Charlie Sarault added two assists.

Gemel Smith lead the Attack (17-14-4) offence with a goal and an assist as Jay Gilbert and Keevin Cutting scored the other goals.

Brandon Maxwell was the games first star, stopping 40 of 43 shots in the win. Jordan Binnington took the loss allowing all five goals on 26 shots.

Sarnia scored once on five power-play chances while Owen Sound went 2-for-6.
