Thomas scores two goals as Oshawa Generals whip Kingston Frontenacs 7-2 @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - Christian Thomas scored two goals as the Oshawa Generals thumped the Kingston Frontenacs 7-2 in Ontario Hockey League play Monday afternoon.

Calvin de Haan and Thomas gave the Generals a 2-0 lead with power-play goals in the first period, and the Generals built a 5-0 lead before Ethan Werek broke Michael Zador's shutout 7:02 into the third period.

Jeff Hayes, Boone Jenner, Conor Stokes and de Haan each had a goal and an assist for the Generals, who improved to 4-3-2-0 with their second straight win.

Nick Esposto scored Oshawa's final goal on another power play with 2:18 remaining.

Corey Durocher added a late score for the Frontenacs (6-5-0-0) with 39 seconds left.

The Generals outshot the Kingston 36-23. Frank Palazzese was in net for the Frontenacs.
