Thomas Nesbitt leads Ottawa 67's past Sudbury Wolves 3-1 @NHLdotcom

SUBDURY, Ont. - Thomas Nesbitt scored a short-handed goal in the third and Petr Mrazek made 24 saves for Ottawa as the 67's beat the Sudbury Wolves 3-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday.

Dean Howard opened the scoring for Sudbury (0-2-0) on the power play at 12:41 of the first before Dalton Smith tied it for Ottawa (1-0-1) at 6:24 of the second. Ottawa took the lead 1:55 into the third on Nesbitt's short-handed goal. The 67's captain iced the game at 18:35 into an empty net.

The Wolves finished 1-for-5 on the power play, while Ottawa ended up 0-6.

Alain Valiquette made 28 in taking the loss for Sudbury.
