Theberge scores twice, Missiaen stops 35 as Petes down Wolves 4-1 @NHL

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Brett Theberge scored twice as the Peterborough Petes solidified their playoff position with a 4-1 victory over the Sudbury Wolves Thursday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Matt Puempel had a goal and an assist and Pat Daley also scored for the Petes (28-35-4), who have a two-point hold on sixth place in the Eastern Conference.

Marcus Foligno had the lone goal for Sudbury (25-35-6), which is three points clear of the Oshawa Generals for the final playoff spot in the east.

Jason Missiaen made 35 saves for Peterborough, while Wolves netminder Andrew Loverock allowed three goals on 23 shots before being replaced by Alain Valiquette, who stopped all 14 shots he faced.
