The Silvertips snap 10-game losing streak with 6-2 win against the Chiefs @NHL

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips snapped a 10-game losing streak, defeating the Spokane Chiefs 6-2 on Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

Josh Winquist scored twice for Everett (6-21-6) while Brennan Yadlowski, Jordyn Boyd, Josh Birkholz and Jari Erricson added singles.

Darren Kramer and Collin Valcourt scored for Spokane (15-10-5).

Kent Simpson made 44 saves for the win while Mac Engel stopped eight of 11 shots in goal for the Chiefs before being pulled early in the second period. Luke Lee-Knight stopped 11 of 14 in relief.

The Silvertips scored once on six power-play opportunities while the Chiefs went 0-for-4.

The 10-game skid was the longest in Everett's nine-year history.
