REGINA - Colten Teubert and Rudolf Cerveny each scored two goals to help the Regina Pats beat the Moose Jaw Warriors 7-3 in Western Hockey League action Wednesday night.

Near the end of a sleepy first period it was Moose Jaw (5-9-0-1) that struck first when captain Jason Bast scored an even strength goal just seconds after Regina killed off a five-on-three Moose Jaw power play.

Regina (9-5-1-2) responded with two quick goals from Jordan Eberle and Cerveny in the last minute of the period to head the dressing room with a 2-1 lead.

Regina added power-play goals from Teubert and Graham Hood - his first WHL goal - and an even-strength goal from Cerveny in the second period.

The Warriors managed to claw their way back a little in the third period thanks to goals from Bast and Quinton Howden. But Regina goals from Teubert and Matt Strueby put the game away.

Regina goalie Linden Rowat (4-0-1-1) made 31 saves for the win. Moose Jaw goalie Todd Matthews (2-6-0-1) didn't get much help while turning away 29 shots in the loss.
