Terry's hat trick leads Plymouth to 5-2 victory over Peterborough @NHLdotcom

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Chris Terry had three goals and an assist as Plymouth Whalers dumped Peterborough Petes 5-2 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday.

Vern Cooper and Taylor Carnevale also scored to give Greg Stefan a win in his first game as Whalers head coach. Stefan replaced Mike Vellucci, who was promoted to president earlier this week. Vellucci is also the team's general manager.

The Whalers improved to 19-8-1-2 while the Petes fell to 12-18-0-1.

Kenzie Sheppard and Zack Kassian scored for Peterborough.

Jeremy Smith picked up the win in goal and Trevor Cann took the loss.
